Greetings all, we two weeks away from the beginning of the Feast of Tabernacles!  Below is some information you might find helpful in planning for the Feast in PCB this year.  Please note that all times listed below and on the website are local, Central Daylight Time.

• We are still in need of volunteers in Ushering, Audio/Visual and Youth Instruction.  If you can help in any of these areas, please contact me right away.
• Opening Night services will be at 7:30 PM, Friday Sept 29^th.  Please note this is a change from the previously scheduled time of 6:45 PM.
• There will be a Teen Hospitality with refreshments served right after services on the First Day of the Feast, Saturday Sept 30th, in Sago Palm 2.  Please make sure your teen is there as we will be making plans for an off-site activity during the Feast.
• There will be a Young Adult Hospitality before services on Sunday, Oct 1st, at 9 AM in Sago Palm 2 with coffee and breakfast pastries.  The hospitality is for all Young Adults, 18-35, married or single.  Please make sure to be there as they will be discussing plans for an off-site activity during the Feast.
• There will be a Feast Dance for all ages on Sunday evening, Oct 1st, from 7-9:30 PM in the Palm Room.  Come out and enjoy fun, fellowship, music, dance and light refreshments with your entire church family!
• Youth Instruction will be before services from 9:00-9:50 AM on Monday, Oct 2^nd and Thursday, Oct 5^th.  Please bring your child to the main lobby of the Conference Center to sign them in starting at 8:45 AM.
• The Senior Luncheon will be on Tuesday, Oct 3^rd from 12:30-2:30 pm at Capt. Jack’s.  As in previous years, we will have the restaurant to ourselves and a special menu has been prepared for our dietary needs.  Please note, it is at a new location this year - 12628 Front Beach Rd, Panama City Beach, FL 32407.  All seniors, age 65 and up, along with their spouses are welcome to attend.  The ministry is also encouraged to attend and spend a little extra time getting to know our seniors.  The suggested donation is $15 per person and includes a drink.  There will be a signup list at the information table and payment can be made via cash or PayPal.
• The Bible Studies this year will be held on Tuesday evening, Oct 3^rd, from 7:30-8:30 PM.  The General Study will be in the Grand Palm Room (main hall).  The Teen Study will be upstairs in Royal Palm.  The Young Adult Study will be in Sago Palm 2.  Attire for all studies is Sabbath casual.
• Family Day – Come join your family for fun and adventure on Family Day at St. Andrews State Park on Wednesday, October 4th from 2-5 PM.  We will have three shelters reserved for our exclusive use and fun and games for the whole family!  A few of the activities planned for the day are a water balloon toss, a limbo dance, volleyball, corn hole, board games and a sand sculpture competition!  Admission to the park includes access to the beach.  The church will provide snacks, drinks and ice cream. Attendees can either eat beforehand or bring a picnic lunch.  A $12 donation per person is suggested to help offset costs, with a maximum donation of $30 per family.  In addition, the park charges $8 per carload (2-8 people) for admission or $4 for a single occupant. For all ages.
• Parking – For those not staying at Edgewater, and who will be driving to services each day, we are no longer able to park for free at the Shoppes at Edgewater across the street.  You can however now park directly on Edgewater property by the Conference Center.  This will greatly reduce the walk to services as compared to years past, however there is a parking fee.  Instructions on how to pay this fee are below.  Again, this ONLY applies to those not staying at Edgewater and who will be driving to services each day.
  • Enter at the guard shack located on Richard Jackson Blvd.  Let them know you are with United Church of God.
  • Proceed along the road toward the Conference Center.  When you are close, the parking crew will direct you where to park.
  • Once you park your vehicle, there are signs in the parking lot that give instructions on how to pay for parking. You can do this either by scanning the QR code on the sign, or going to www.premiumparking.com The property code is P2855.
  • On the web site, you will be prompted for information such as your license plate state and number, e-mail, phone number and credit card number for payment.
    • You will then be prompted for a Promo code, which is UCOG23 (valid 9/29/23 – 10/7/23). The Promo code will give a 40% discount resulting in the following rates: 
      • 1 hour =$1.80
      • 3 hours $3.60
      • 6 hours- $6.00
      • 9 hours - $7.20
  • Please note that although the app might give you an option to reserve a space at Edgewater, we are unable to do that.
  • If you download the app, you will get an alert 15 minutes before the time expires and an option to add more time.

• Festival Brochure – A downloadable version of the Festival Brochure will be uploaded to the Panama City Beach Website soon.  In addition, a limited number of hard copies will be made available at the Feast.
