God leaves us with two commands in the New Covenant that demonstrate God’s intent for millennia. When God calls a person, when He tugs on your heart strings, He desires that we show Him by baptism we are responding. That is, once we examine the way we live and think. Changing to be like Him is a lifetime effort. Baptism is an initial step into a relationship with Him. From there we walk as a new person with His purposes in mind and remind ourselves daily of that relationship. We observe the annual Passover service as a renewal of commitment to that calling and relationship. Our hearts are critical in all this as it is where we discover God’s promptings and direction.
