Days of Unleavened bread help us keep sin out of our lives.  We must remain clean.  It’s not enough to be washed and cleansed, we must remain clean.

It is so easy to gravitate right back to sin. 

There is not a lot of righteousness in the world today.

The Day of Pentecost could also be titled, “The Day of  Hope”.

1.)  The Holy Spirit brings righteousness.

We are conditioned to accept sin.  Sin is glorified in our world today.  If our life is dedicated to God, we must be on the lookout for sin.  God hates sin and it disgusted by it.  We are conditioned to look the other way.

Isa. 59:2

God doesn’t accept sin, He can’t.

I Cor. 6:9 → Righteousness is required.  Do not be deceived.

We aren’t without hope, because God has provided for us.

Rom. 8:10 → If Christ is within us, the spirit is life to us.  We need to make God’s word personal to us.

2.)  The Holy Spirit gives us a love for God.

Rom. 8:7→ The carnal mind is enmity against God.  It is hostile against God, in opposition to God.

God give us a new heart, makes us a different man.

Rom. 5:5 → Hope does not disappoint because it pours out through the Spirit of God.

God’s spirit removes the heart of stone and make it willing to receive God’s truth.  It allows a true deep love of God to work in your life.

3.)  Holy Spirit brings teaching and guidance.

God’s Holy Spirit gives us a mental understand of HIs word.  

Understanding of God’s truth is a rare commodity in this world.

John 14:16

Keeping God’s word and truth is receiving the Holy Spirit and having the love in your heart.  We show that love through obedience.

God’s Holy Spirit is our teacher, it guides us.  It teaches you and leads you along the path to eternal life.

John 6:44

Psalm 25:8-9 → Good and upright is the Lord.  God’s spirit gives us that attitude of humility. 

Jer. 31:33

1 John 2:27 → Anointing of God’s Holy Spirit abides in us.
