Christ’s perfect sacrifice gives those who follow his laws with faith, the opportunity for his blood to atone for our past sins if we are repentant. He accomplished this by placing our sins on himself to give us the opportunity to receive forgiveness of our sins and be reconciled to God. In other words, Christ now intercedes on our behalf, reconciling us to God. The word Atonement also means “reconciliation.” In this message we will answer the overarching question, “If we are reconciled to God through Christ's sacrifice, why do we, God’s people” need another Holy Day to be reconciled to God?”
