In Matthew 24:37-39 Jesus warns that just as in the days of Noah before the flood most at the time of the end will be caught unaware of the troubles about to come on the world. To them everything is continuing in normal ways. In this sermon Mr. Smith tells us that we will not fall victim to this trap if we watch for the warning signs given in the Bible of events to take place prior to the feast of Trumpets. He covers several of these in this sermon including: the fall of Israel, the abomination of desolation, the man of sin, and the end time struggle for control of the city of Jerusalem.

Gary Smith was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, but spent most of his youth in the Pasadena, California area. He graduated from Ambassador College in 1976 and he and his wife, Liz, moved to Peoria, Illinois. For the next six years he worked as a nursing home administrator in Illinois, Ohio, and Texas.
In 1982, he and Liz began to serve in the full-time ministry. Since that time, they have served in a number of congregations in the Midwest.
Gary and Liz now pastor in Houston, Texas near their two children and grandson.
