In Revelation 18, the Apostle John is given a vision of the fall of Babylon the Great. As the story flow of Revelation builds toward the climax of the fall of this system, which has developed over millennia, and the ushering in of the Kingdom of God, a warning is given to the faithful. In verses 4 and 5 of Revelation 18, John records the message provided by the voice from heaven, "Come Out of Her My People, and be not partakers of her sins." What is Babylon? Where did it come from? How has this system carried down through time, and what does it mean for us today?
