We understand that God is spirit (John 4:24), existing in a different realm from that of human beings, who are flesh. "As the heavens are higher than the earth," so are His ways and thoughts higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9). Our understanding and perception of God must be based on God's revelation to mankind through His written Word, the Bible or Holy Scriptures.
