Why do our beliefs differ so much from others? The doctrinal beliefs we hold dear are a result of our faith in the validity of Scripture over traditions, or secular human history. Many churches make the claim that their doctrines are from the Bible, but the early influence of Greek philosophy and teachings of what became known as the Catholic Church influence their doctrines more than they are willing to admit. The Church of God truly believes what Scripture reveals, and lives by the principle that the Bible is valid and accurate. This is why we are so different from other groups and churches that exist. Today, I would like to begin a history of the New Testament Church.
