“Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ” (Galatians 1:3). This was Paul’s special salutation or greetings to the congregations he served.
Almost all of Paul’s letters begin in this same manner, with this same introduction. Why was grace so important to Paul? What did Paul understand about grace that you and I might not understand nearly as well?
Peter was another leading apostle for the early church. When we notice his example we also see a major emphasis on grace.
2 Peter 3:18 “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…”
The Biblical doctrine or teaching about the subject of grace has much fuller meaning and understanding than many of us have understood.
