2 - A godly leader is first a SERVANT. The welfare of others placed above himself.
(Php 2:1) Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy,
(Php 2:2) fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
(Php 2:3) Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
(Php 2:4) Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
(Php 2:5) Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
(Php 2:6) who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,
(Php 2:7) but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.
(Php 2:8) And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
4?? - A Godly leader understands authority and knows how to exercise it and be Under Authority.
(Mat 8:5) Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him,
(Mat 8:6) saying, "Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented."
(Mat 8:7) And Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him."
(Mat 8:8) The centurion answered and said, "Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.
(Mat 8:9) For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."
(Mat 8:10) When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, "Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!
(Mat 8:11) And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.
(Mat 8:12) But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
(Mat 8:13) Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you." And his servant was healed that same hour.
5 - A Godly leader will help others achieve their full potential.
(Joh 14:10) Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.
(Joh 14:11) Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.
(Joh 14:12) "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
6 - A Godly leader is a TEACHER
(Mat 5:1) And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him.
(Mat 5:2) Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:
(Act 18:24) Now a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man and mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus.
(Act 18:25) This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of the Lord, though he knew only the baptism of John.
PARENTS MUST ALSO BE TEACHERS.
(Deu 6:4) "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!
(Deu 6:5) You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
(Deu 6:6) "And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.
(Deu 6:7) You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
(Deu 6:8) You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
(Deu 6:9) You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
II - HOW do we develop Leadership Qualities??
Some are "born that way".
Most of us can develop Godly Leadership over time.
HOW?
1 - begin at home and do your own scriptures {{ANN STENCIL ??, Google}}
(1Ti 3:2) A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach;
(1Ti 3:3) not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous;
(1Ti 3:4) one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence
(1Ti 3:5) (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?);
To develop Godly Leadership Qualities one must take every moment we can to study and meditate on God's WORD.. HOW can we teach what we do not know? HOW can we hit a target we do not see?
(Act 17:11) These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.
(Joh 6:53) Then Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.
(Joh 6:54) Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
(Joh 6:55) For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.
(Joh 6:56) He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.
(Joh 6:57) As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.
(Joh 6:58) This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever."
(Joh 6:60) Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, "This is a hard saying; who can understand it?"
(Joh 6:61) When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples complained about this, He said to them, "Does this offend you?
(Joh 6:62) What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before?
(Joh 6:63) It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
(Joh 6:64) But there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him.
(Joh 6:65) And He said, "Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father."
(Joh 6:66) From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.
(Joh 6:67) Then Jesus said to the twelve, "Do you also want to go away?"
(Joh 6:68) But Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
(Pro 3:12) For whom the LORD loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.
(Heb 12:8) But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons.
(Heb 12:9) Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?
(Heb 12:10) For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness.
(Heb 12:11) Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
