Buchanan speaks in depth on baptism, including its history and purpose, with an emphasis on John the Baptist, who was not just a prophet, but the subject of prophecy.  Baptism is very personal, a purification, an inner washing, an acknowledgement that I have been wrong and must repent.  The bottom line is that entry into the Kingdom of God requires a personal, Godly repentance.  Buchanan also notes the duality in response to God’s teachings.  People either repent or revile.  The two witnesses will have similar convicting messages, met with either love and acceptance or hatred and animosity.  “How beautiful the calling of God is; it has transformed many people.”

Steve Buchanan, native of Maryland, has served in the ministry since 1975.  Steve and his wife Terri, have been married since 1976 and have lived in Tucson, Arizona with their family since 1988.

Steve is a volunteer Pastor of three United Church of God congregations, Tucson, Sierra Vista, Arizona, and El Paso, TX.  Steve has worked full time for the Church of God for 23 years, and retired from the Pharmaceutical industry in 2017, after 20 years in Sales.  Terri works for the Department of Medicine at the University of Arizona.
