The spring Holy Days are past. We stand on the other side of the Red Sea with Egypt at our backs. We are called to walk in newness of life with the Promised Land as our final destination. This sermon will explore what is involved with that walk of newness of life. Are we "saved" at baptism? Or do the scriptures reveal a journey of trial and test between baptism and the final reward? We will contrast the Protestant notion that new converts are saved when they first accept Jesus Christ as their Savior against what the scriptures actually say about the process.
