If we could only see what we do not know. There are a few expressions in English we have, such as “out of sight, out of mind” or “just below the surface.” Most things have things going on that we cannot see, do not know, or cannot discern. This works in our spiritual life, also. There are things we don’t know – things just beyond our reach. God has a plan to make us better, and many things in our spiritual life are to make us better – even if we don’t know it. It may be uncomfortable, and it may test our faith. Often, there is “more than meets the eye.”
