In Peter, Jesus called a disciple who was impulsive, who often spoke before he thought. But, in spite of his blunders, Peter had a stick-to-it character and he didn't get so discouraged that he gave up. He ultimately overcame and became one of most productive servants of God. As with Peter, we will never become perfect in this human existence. But, we must strive for perfection and grow in faith, with the help of God's Spirit, into the perfect mind of Christ.
