The theme for the 2015 UCG General Conference of Elders was "Labor in the Word". Messages were given that covered tools and approaches for digging more deeply into God's living word, the Bible. The Bible is our map that tells us where we are and where we should be going. Those messages at the conference did not only apply to the ministry, they apply to everyone in God's church. This sermon summarizes the various topics presented at the conference, and exhorts all of us to apply these principles to our personal Bible study.

Mark Rorem

(1948-2017)

Mark Rorem (1948-2017) was an elder in the United Church of God, serving primarily in the Oakland congregation. He was a graduate of Ambassador College.  He and his wife, Linda, had three children.  He grew up in Mexico City, and assisted in various aspects of the Spanish language efforts of the Church. He was a practicing attorney since 1979.  He was ordained an elder in 2000.
