The tower of Babel in Genesis 11 was an incredible display of human drive. However God was not pleased with the city's inhabitants and forcefully dispersed them. For us today, we each have our own towers that we build -- plans, dreams, hobbies -- sometimes we maintain multiple towers. They all compete for our attention, focus, time, and resources. But where is God in all this? Should we have our own personal towers, or should they too be brought down?
