Christians struggle daily to monitor our words. James wrote that tongue can kindle a great fire. Words can edify or destroy. Satan, the father of lies, uses gossip to drive wedges between people. This sermon discusses the damage that can be done by gossip and offers suggestions for battling the addictive sin of gossip.

David Dobson pastors United Church of God congregations in Anchorage and Soldotna, Alaska. He and his wife Denise are both graduates of Ambassador College, Big Sandy, Texas. They have three grown children, two grandsons and one granddaughter. Denise has worked as an elementary school teacher and a family law firm office manager. David was ordained into the ministry in 1978. He also serves as the Philippines international senior pastor.
