Last Sabbath most of us had the exciting opportunity to witness a couple of baptisms. You may have noticed a particular question that was asked of those about to be plunged under the water by immersion. They were pointed asked, “Have you repented of your sins?” When they anwsered affirmatively, they were told… “as a result of the repentance of your sins, which are contrary to and against God's Holy, Righteous and perfect law… and since you accepted Jesus Christ… Why is this statement in our baptismal ceremony? It is because many professing Christians don’t understand what sin is, or what God’s Commandments are. Sadly, many are taught that the 10 Commandments were part of the Law of Moses, and became obsolete when Christ was nailed to the cross. Many are taught that the Commandments are a burden and have been replaced with Faith or Grace. What is the truth about sin, and the real nature of the 10 commandments? Today we will answer these questions.
