The Day of the Lord is a thread that runs through the entirety of the fabric of scripture. Primary found in the former and minor prophets - the description of this 'day' speaks of a time of God's judgment against a nation or a peoples that has gone astray. It is a time of despair, and a time of incredible hope in the future. When we examine the concepts relating to the Day of the Lord in scripture, prophetically - the events of the Feast of Trumpets are tied into the day inextricably. Scripturally, we see the events of The Day of the Lord connected to the events of a literal day, a year, 1000 years, and on into eternity. What is the significance of the Day of the LORD, and how can we understand the events in the context of the plan of God?
