Because of all the correction Paul gave to the church at Corinth, many consider first Corinthians to be a negative book. But in this sermon Mr. Smith shows that it is a book of encouragement because when Paul pointed out their problems he also encouraged them to make the needed changes and gave them specific steps to make these changes and also encouraged them to make these changes.
