Service is the mind of Christ. Human beings tend to complicate everything causing chaos and confusion. I must say that personally this is something that really struck me early in my walk as a true Christian and follower of Christ. The simplicity of true Christianity. The simplicity of the message of Christ and of all of the bible. Such a stark contrast to the rest of the world. How refreshing. Mr. Beam gave this marvelous message about how you find service in Christ. Simple, unadorned, unadulterated service out of a serving mind. When you give of your time and energy you are laying down a part of your life for another.

Rick Beam

(1950-2024)

Rick Beam was born and grew up in northeast Mississippi. He graduated from Ambassador College Big Sandy, Texas, in 1972, and was ordained into the ministry in 1975. From 1978 until his death in 2024, he pastored congregations in the south, west and midwest. His final pastorate was for the United Church of God congregations in Rome, (Georgia), Gadsden (Alabama) and Chattanooga (Tennessee).
