The book of Isaiah, chapters 42 through 53, describes God's "Suffering Servant." This first in a series of messages examines that concept, which is very important to both Judaism and Christianity.
Judaism interprets the Suffering Servant as an allegorical reference to the nation and people of Israel. Christianity believes that the Suffering Servant is prophetic of the life of Jesus and proof of His Messiahship.
This series will look at both positions, and explain why we believe that these verses describe God's only begotten son, Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.
