When Mark 1:14-15 tells us Jesus Christ came preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand," what did He means? What was now being fulfilled? The reality is that the stage had now been set for a crucial stage in God's plan the prophesied arrival of the promised Messiah who proclaimed the good news of the Kingdom. Scott Ashley is managing editor of Beyond Today magazine, United Church of God booklets and its printed Bible Study Course. He and his wife, Connie, live near Denver, Colorado. 
Mr. Ashley attended Ambassador College in Big Sandy, Texas, graduating in 1976 with a theology major and minors in journalism and speech. It was there that he first became interested in publishing, an industry in which he has worked for 50 years.
