The terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 was a traumatic event for the United States. We know there will be more times of uncertainty in the years ahead. We have a clear picture of the future, but how do we navigate all that is between now and the momentous return of Christ? This message presents three steps to coping with what is ahead.

Steve Thanks for that sermon. I disagree with your statement that"God was not involved with what happened 19 years ago". God is involved with absolutely everything that goes on in this universe by directing events great and small. It is my opinion that the terrorist threats are in direct proportion to the sins of the country. Ancient Israel was punished by loss of battles due to individuals not following instructions. New York, being the hub of commerce (maybe the most important city in the world from a carnal perspective - from Gods' perspective Jerusalem) under attack, should of had its leaders assess their methodology in their pursuit of business and use of money. We are loved and it involves being chastised and given time to consider...19 years, a time cycle......now a pandemic, could be interesting.

Thanks Daryl, for listening. Thousands of innocent people were killed in the terrorist attack in NYC in 2001. While God knows the “end from the beginning,” that doesn’t mean that everything that happens is result of God’s direction or intervention. The principle of Ezekiel 33 shows that God does not punish unless sufficient warning is given by the watchman. I encourage your study of this chapter. No doubt the United States has greatly departed from God’s commands, but in my view, we shouldn’t underestimate the extent of God’s warnings to the descendants of Abraham in the future. As to the current viral outbreak, it pales in comparison to the 100 Million who were killed worldwide 100 years ago. While both present with horrible outcomes, we also had 60,000 killed several years ago with the H1N1 flu season. I do not believe God directed any of these events either. Tragedy is part of this world and has been since the disobedience of Adam and Eve. God has allowed man to direct his way since then. He has intervened in history, for sure, mostly to help Abraham’s descendants to realize blessing, not curse.
