“BUCKET LIST” -- how many of us are familiar with this terminology? I was reading someone’s “bucket list” the other day – and I became curious about why so many people seem to be so fascinated.
I googled “bucket list” – and here it what I discovered. Urban Dictionary – the terminology “bucket list” derives from an English expression – or idiom – “kick the bucket” – which means to die!
A bucket list is “a list of things to do before you die.”
Wow! That sounds downright lugubrious – right? Lugubrious means sad or mournful, and maybe it borders on morbid as well.
Oxford Dictionary – “a number of experiences or achievements that a person hopes to have or to accomplish during their lifetime.”
O.K. That sounds more positive. So let’s transition from the physical to the spiritual. What would like to accomplish spiritually during your lifetime.
What would your spiritual list contain? There are lots of possibilities – but let’s just focus on one indispensable – required – huge spiritual priority – in your life – and in my life.
