Attendance at recent seminars have been encouraging. God is working with many people at this time.
[Darris McNeely] This past weekend was our second round of Kingdom of God Bible Seminars. I was in New York City where we had quite a number of people show up in spite of three inches of snow that we had. Steve, you were here in Cincinnati?
[Steve Myers] Yeah, we had an ice storm and so it was a little rough, but by the afternoon it did clear up a little bit.
[Darris McNeely] Throughout the mid-west and the east coast there was some bad weather, but across the United States and in other cities around the world, scores of people did come out to hear the message of the Kingdom of God. Mark chapter 1 verses 14 and 15 were the center (Mark 1:14-15). In New York, we had quite a nice group of people that came in spite of the weather that we had up there. We had a full room and people came and they heard the gospel of the Kingdom of God preached. These have been very encouraging and invigorating seminars for those who have been attending. Maybe some of you watching here attended and saw…and heard the message of the gospel preached in the location where you were. If you didn't attend, we hope that you will sign up. Go to BeyondToday.tv and look for the Kingdom of God Bible Seminar link and sign up and come to a future one. The next one is going to be in May.
[Steve Myers] One couple that I was talking to after the seminars expressed something that was kind of interesting to me. You know, they understood that Jesus was their Savior, but one of the things that they had mentioned to me was they didn't realize how often Christ talked about the Kingdom of God and how that really was His message and that's what He preached over and over, consistently throughout His ministry as well as after the crucifixion as well.
[Darris McNeely] The Kingdom of God was on Christ's lips wherever He went, to whomever He spoke, and whatever He talked about—always the Kingdom of God was the central message. And the Church that He founded carried that on and the Church that Christ is the Head of today is still preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God. In fact, if you look at the book of Acts, there's an encouraging scripture that Steve and I find very encouraging as we look at what's going on today. In Acts 18:10 where the Apostle Paul was in the city of Corinth and preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God there, God spoke to him in a vision and He said, "Do not be afraid, but speak and do not keep silent. For I am with you and no one will attack you to hurt you for I have many people in this city", speaking of the city of Corinth. I believe God still has many people He is calling, even at this hour of human experience, to hear the truth and to repent and to accept the terms of the Kingdom of God and Jesus Christ as their Savior. I believe that's still going on. We see the people who are very much interested in this message and responding.
[Steve Myers] Yeah, I think people look around the world scene and they know something is wrong. They know there are difficulties out here, and what can we do about it? You know, God is calling people to Himself, Christ said that the Father is drawing people to Him, just like a magnet draws people, and they're out there. And I know you're out there. And so I hope that people will respond to that calling, be sensitive to that calling. Isaiah 55:6 says that, "Seek the Lord while He may be found." And what an important thing, while He is near in fact that says.
[Darris McNeely] While you are watching these BT Dailies or Beyond Today every week on the web or on television, you are having the Kingdom of God, the gospel of the Kingdom of God and Jesus Christ preached to you. And that time may be fulfilled in your life and the Kingdom of God may be at hand for you. It is something very serious and it's very important and it's something for you to consider.
[Steve Myers] That's BT Daily. We'll see you next time.
