[Steve Myers] A question came in from one of our Beyond Today viewers.

Eric writes, "I enjoy watching your TV show and I'm interested in the free literature offered. I've requested a few resources. I wonder, how can you offer them free?"

Well, thanks for the question, Eric. I'm here in the mail room of the United Church of God, just below the Beyond Today studios. And people wonder, how can we do this for free? Why do we do it for free? Well, we take the commission that Jesus Christ gave His disciples very seriously. He said, "Go, therefore, into the world and preach the gospel" (Matthew 28:19 and Mark 16:15) That's what He said in Matthew 28. And so we take that seriously.

We want to preach the word of Jesus Christ. We want to preach the gospel of the Kingdom. And so we also take that commission seriously in the way that He said to do it. He said, "Freely you have received, freely give" (Matthew 10:8). And so through the tithes and donations of members and people like you who donate to the Church, we're able to offer literature free to those who request it because people have questions.

They have many questions, and so we strive to help them in their understanding of God's way. Whether it's proving whether the Bible is true or not. Or, even the most basic questions, we have booklets to help you understand your Bible, understand what life is all about. Things that really come into effect in the times that we live. We want to help you understand the truth of what your destiny is all about, what God's plan is all about. And we don't just do that for Americans. We do this for people all over the world.

This is a commission that God said to take to the world. So, whether it's in Portuguese, or whether it's in German, or in so many various languages. We take that commission seriously. We want to preach that gospel to the entire world in order to fulfill that commission that God gave to us. And so we offer these publications free.

In fact, you also asked about how you could get them all at once. You asked, "I was curious if there's an easier way to get all of the available publications at the same time". And the answer is yes.
