Choose a positive approach to each day!

Transcript

[Steve Myers] We have a choice, God tells us to choose life. Do you take time every day to really focus on the scriptures? I put up the passage, Psalm 118:24, because it's one of those passages I think we could put before us every single day and I think it would be a great habit if we would do that. Take a passage out of the Bible, and somehow throughout the day, keep it in front of you. Keep it on your mind, bring it back into memory. This particular passage is one of those that reminds me, we have a choice. I have a choice. It says, "This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it." Because sometimes days aren't always that fun, they're not always that exciting.

And yet I have a choice, "What is my perspective today?" And when I have those opportunities to choose to have a negative attitude, to have a bad perspective, I can come back look at this passage. And remember, I have a choice and I can choose to have a positive perspective and so keep this passage in mind today, in fact pick out some passages in the Bible every day and be intentional, be purposeful, be deliberate in choosing your attitude, and when you do that, I think you'll see a fantastic difference every single day.

That's BT Daily, we'll see you next time.

Here's a joke for you, perhaps unrelated to today's BTD blog. 'You know what they do to Monarch butterflies don't you? They catch them with butterphile nets, take them to the insect hospital, mount them on pointy things for years, all the while sticking it to them on paper!' Hope you liked the joke.
