In an article titled, “Keep that Bible Out of my Room,” an atheist, Buckner, believes that no religious literature should be provided in government-owned lodging, and he presented that concern to management at the Amicalola Falls State Park. He wanted them removed from the rooms.

In response to the atheist, William Hunters, a guest at the lodge stated, “I know that Bibles have saved people’s lives. They go into a motel room and are going to blow their brains out, and then they find that Bible.” http://www.timesofisrael.com/keep-that-bible-out-of-my-room/

Now Travelodge has decided that the free Bible will no longer be allowed in their hotel rooms, even though there is proof that the Bible in those hotel rooms has saved lives!

In the article “How a Gideon Bible Literally Saved My Life” by Bernic Dymet, Bernic wrote, “I remember one time in a Brisbane hotel, standing on the 8th floor balcony looking down at the concrete driveway below. I was being pulled in two directions. My loss and grief and desperation were calling me over the edge. And somehow, through what I’d read in the Bible that night before, God was calling me back inside to pray. His life was saved that day by God’s inspired word.”

The article, “Choosing between a Pistol and a Gideon Bible,” Jack had a pistol and nothing left in life. After throwing the Bible on the floor of his hotel room, he decided to pick it up and read it. For the first time in the moment of great despair, he cried out to God for help. While he was on that floor weeping, a peace came into his life that he still has to this day.

The Bible is our instruction and survival manual, given and inspired by our Creator God. While people are trying to remove the Bible from public places, do you value your instruction and survival manual?

Everything we buy comes with an operational manual showing us how to use it, and how to fix it when it is broken. God inspired a manual on how to operate our human body and mind; to fix us when we are broken. God reaches out and encourages us through His Word, when we are at our lowest points, like the examples of Jack and Bernic Dymet.

In 2 Timothy 3:16, it reads, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” The Bible gives us a full and complete instruction manual on how to live our lives here on the earth in preparation for an eternal life with the Father.

Men, who have been deceived by Satan, may try to remove that vital manual from public places, but most of us probably have a copy in our homes. We must daily partake of the word of God in order to become closer to our Creator, to be encouraged by Him, and be taught how to love one another. No matter how hard people try to get rid of it, the Word of God, the Bible, will stand! So value that survival manual, study it, so you can be prepared for every moment. Our great Creator God has given it to us as a survival guide for this life. It will save your life!

Hi Linda, I have also had that happened to me. When I am thinking of something or concerned about something, or discouraged, I can open up my Bible and there is exactly the scripture that I need. It is like God reaching down and talking to me through His word. How wonderful God is that He works with us, and the tool of His communication to us is the Bible. But Satan would like the Bible to be removed, because he knows that Bible holds the answers to all our problems. Satan also knows that the Bible kills his influence in our lives and brings us closer to the Great Creator that loves us. Thank you RW for your kinds words. I can only hope through my own experiences that it will help others especially when it comes to "Domestic Violence." And it is so true no matter how much we mess up, God will never send us back as long as we keep trying. It is like a baby who takes their first step, then falls, what does parent do,they don't turn their back on the baby instead they encourage their baby to get back up and keep trying. Soon that baby is walking all over the place and even running. That is how God is with us. He wants us to soar!

Greetings. This story shows that the Bible really is a living book. I also gained insight on your blog about "Domestic Violence." The blog entitled "I Will Not send you Back," was very heartwarming. And for some reason "Pinocchio's Nose," brought a slight smile to my face. Though I know that untruthfulness is not particularly funny. Hey I thought about my sister's children. Thank you very much.
