As Grandad and Nanna were saying, God our Father and Jesus Christ the Son of God, had no beginning because they have always been, and they have no end, because they cannot die, unless they choose to change into a human person, as Jesus did. (John 1:14)

These two great beings as Father and Son are both God.  But Jesus said that His Father was greater than Him. (John 14:28)

It’s just like in our family, how your Mom and Dad are above you as you are a child of them. But you are made of flesh and are human just like your Mum and Dad. So Jesus is made of spirit and is God too, just like His Father is God.

They are spirit, which is invisible to our eyes, like the wind, or they can change to a person, that we can see. God can do anything He wants to do.

One of Jesus disciples called John, saw a vision like a dream, of how Jesus the Son of God looks like in Heaven.

Jesus Christ had hair white like wool, white as snow and His eyes were as a flame of fire.  His feet were like beautiful shiny brass as if they burned in a fire. Jesus, God the Son’s voice was powerful like a huge waterfall and like a great trumpet. (Revelation 1:10, Revelation 1:14-16, Revelation 4:1)

Nanna says you would imagine this very well, our child.  So Nanna must know you very well.

So, a very long, long time ago God our Father and Jesus the Son of God, planned an amazing plan to make their family bigger.

They wanted to share eternal life with more children of God and have a much bigger family to have fun by sharing.  It’s always good to share things, isn’t it?

Do you know what they did next?

God made millions and millions of angels out of God’s spirit. (Psalm 104:4)

That’s a lot of powerful, wonderful angels, isn’t it?

Three of the strongest angels God made, were Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer. (Jude 1:9, Ezekiel 28:13-14, Luke 1:9)  Lucifer’s name meant “bright shining star” and he was trusted to be at the throne of God in Heaven.

Have you ever wondered why God created the angels?

The angels were created to be messengers and happy servants of God.  When you read the word angel in the Bible, you can tell your Mom and Dad, that means “messenger” (in the Hebrew and Greek texts).

Sometimes in the Bible, even Jesus is called a messenger of God, His Father.

Jesus loves his Father and loves to do what His Father tells him to do. (John 14:31) That is a good lesson for us too, our child, don’t you think?  We should tell God in our prayers “I love you God. Help me to be good like Jesus”.

Once God the Father and God His Son had planned out everything, God the Father then created all of the Universe, through His Son, Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:1, Colossians 1:16, Ephesians 3:9)

God created all of the stars, the planets, the sun, our earth, the moon. Even all the sparkly comets.

God did all of this using His spirit, and His angels, to make the things we can see.

Can you imagine how great God is, to do all of that?  God is so good isn’t He?

Millions of years ago, when God made everything in the Universe, He also made the earth and trees and dinosaurs and mammoths and many other animals and creeping creatures.

Then, God had one of His 3 archangels Lucifer and lots of other angels to look after the earth with all its dinosaurs, flying and swimming animals. God also made the big trees, plants and beautiful flowers, and all was good.

This first creation on the earth is called by scientists the “age of the reptiles”.

It was a much different creation than what we have today.

Scientists call our creation of today, the “age of the mammals”.

Everything was bigger in God’s first creation of the dinosaurs.

The animals like Brontosaurus and Tyrannosaurus were bigger than elephants. The trees and other plants were also bigger too.

We could never live in such a place or else we would be squashed or eaten by these huge dinosaurs.

What happened next was very sad, but was all part of God’s Plan.

God allowed millions of years to go by, to test and see if the angels He had created would continue to love God and do the things God wanted them to do, by looking after the dinosaurs on earth.

God loved all the angels, but unfortunately Lucifer did not continue to love God.

Lucifer began to think he was pretty good and much better than God. He became very puffed up and vain about himself.  He became greedy and led a third of the other angels to turn against God.

It is probably hard for you, our child, to understand, but then there was a terrible war in the universe.

Lucifer and one third of the angels fought against God and two thirds of angels who loved God and stayed faithful to God. (Isaiah 14:12-15) Michael and Gabriel were good angels who bravely fought against Lucifer and his bad angels.

That is a good lesson for us, our child, to always love God and live God’s right loving way of life.

Lucifer’s name was changed to Satan, which means “enemy” of God, and his rebellious bad angels were called “demons”.

Jesus said He saw Satan and his demons cast down to the earth. (Luke 10:18, Revelation 12:3-4)

Satan and his demons were thrown from heaven like lightning and were cast down to the earth.

In this horrible war, so many big stars and planets and asteroids and comets in the universe were thrown around and some big pieces hit the earth so hard, all the animals and plants died and were buried under tons of dirt and rock.

They became fossils, making coal and oil and gas under the earth.

Did you know, our child, that people drill or dig down to these layers today, under the earth, and that’s where we get our oil, coal and natural gas?

Nanna says that is why scientists call them “fossil fuels”.

After this terrible battle between Satan and his demon bad angels, against God and Michael and Gabriel and the good angels of God, everywhere on this earth was dead.

Our earth was covered with ash, dust, smoke and was flooded with water over the ground.

The sun, moon and stars were blocked out, and everywhere was dark and cold.

The earth became tohu and bohu Moses said in his Hebrew language in Genesis 1:2. This means the earth was a ruin of destruction, and was “without form and void”.

What happened next, our child, is very exciting.

God does something so amazing and it has a lot to do with you and your wonderful future.
