The last two weeks have given us stories of carnage in a courtroom a school and a church meeting. Angry depressed individuals have killed twenty innocent people in fits of unexplained random rage. This article gives some insight into the life on a modern American indian reservation. It illustrates what can happen when a people have no hope. It describes a life in a low ceiling room, with a narrow world view, fear of outsiders, and little hope of making their life work in this world.

People need a message of hope and optimism to live a balanced life amidst all the other problems that life can hold. The message of religion, education and the media must hold out that hope in a tangible manner that gives us hope we can achieve a better quality of life filled with meaning and purpose. The message must show us how to get to a life of meaning and give us the markers showing us where we are along the journey. And each step of the way we must have hope of something better, something to live for.

Start here with our booklet, What is Your Destiny? And keep coming back to Longitude. We'll help you find your way to a life of meaning.
