Many people live with the belief that you cross each bridge as you come to it. However, good preparation for some future event is always wise. Public speakers, preachers and teachers who prepare well are the ones who deliver the addresses that have the real impact. Being prepared is wise and makes you exude confidence and control.

Jesus spoke of the importance of being prepared in Luke 12:47. God expects us to put our minds to various tasks in our lives and be prepared for the day on which Jesus Christ will return. Successful people make preparations for emergencies and keep in mind changes that may come. Without preparation we may cross the wrong bridge—or miss it altogether.
