Beauty fades with age, and our appearance no longer has the same effect on people. It is good to present yourself in the best way that you are able. The Bible says that beauty is passing (Proverbs 31:30). However the inward appearance, the inner man is what really matters (Ephesians 3:16).

When we say beauty is skin deep, we are trying to encourage people to develop good and wholesome character. That grows through a relationship with our Creator and respect toward Him and His way. That is the definition of lasting beauty. That is the kind everyone can develop as they take care of the outward appearance. The inner man grows in beauty even as the outer appearance fades.

I believe it is most important to be beautiful in God's eyes. He knows our every thought. Think good thoughts and the beauty of God's spirit will shine through.

Thank you. Knowing this means one is finally growing up in their understanding. Truthfully there is no "fountain of youth" with the outward appearance. There is in the heart. For we are told by out Savior; "Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter into the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this llitte child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:2-4;Mark 10:15; Luke 18:17 NKJV When we remain humble of heart and teachable then and only then can God our Father develope the fruits of the spirit within us.
