These words struck me many years ago when I met several "students" at university who simply continued to be students. They had no intention of using the education they received and were known as perpetual students. The Bible speaks of those "always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth" (2 Timothy 3:7).

Education is wonderful and such a privilege. We need to treasure the opportunity to use our minds. But without self-control, even in how we think, our minds can be led in many directions. Capture your thoughts—analyze them, keep the good and discard the useless. You are in control.
