It seems every age felt the young were scatterbrained. That old term is just as accurate today as it was generations ago. Another expression is "I can't think straight." What we are really expressing is the fact that we have lost our ability to concentrate.

A prominent doctor was asked what he would do if he had just five minutes to save someone's life. His answer was, "I would spend the first three minutes concentrating on how to do it." God says, "Come now, and let us reason together" (Isaiah 1:18). He intends for us to focus our attention at that moment. Concentration is an art that can be developed—it just takes determination and practice. Give it a try.
