There is always a reason or excuse, and sometimes an apology and another promise to do better. What a breath of fresh air it is to meet a person who keeps their word, fulfills their promises and "delivers the goods" as they promised. We can look good, speak well and have a pleasant personality, but if we do not support our words with good actions, the rest loses much of its value.

Letting your yes be yes and your no be no is a solid foundation on which to stand (James 5:12). Promise keepers are people we value greatly. The quiet fulfillment of what we said we would deliver reflects an inner beauty that completes any outward appearance that seems attractive. If you were to choose between being attractive on the outside or attractive on the inside—choose the inner attractiveness. It is reflected outwardly.
