Diamonds in the Rough
James tells us to rejoice in our trials (James 1:2-4). There are lessons to learn from our challenges, and the wise man will not have to go through the same trial twice. Trials teach us to exert more care, gather our facts, learn to be patient and to develop persistence, courage and strength.
We are like diamonds in the rough—in need of polish. When an expert diamond cutter is allowed to do his work, the result is amazing. Our Creator is the expert diamond cutter—seek Him, knock on His door and accept the work He is doing in your life.
