People will almost always return to us the same kind of treatment given to them. An action produces an equal reaction. Jesus Christ explained this as a proactive principle: "And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise" (Luke 6:31).

To be cordial and friendly costs us nothing, but it does solicit a response from other people. People serve as a looking glass for us. In that glass we can see ourselves and recognize the areas we need to change or work on. We will reap what we sow. Therefore, the seed we sow needs to reflect the crop we wish to have. Be sure to get the good seed.
