Friends
Standing alone may sound heroic, but when the dark clouds roll in, we realize we need help—we need others. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 explains that two are better than one, and three may be even better than that. There is strength that we gain and give to one another. Tasks are easier and our attitudes are more positive. We are grateful for someone who guards our back.
A friend is a treasure. If we want friends, we must be friendly. Humans are social creatures—that is how God made us. Joy and fulfillment are found in the company of others. Giving, sharing and helping have rewards that go beyond dollars. If you have a friend, treasure him or her; if you are a friend, be a good one.
