The Bible tells us that we should be watching our weight in a different way. Proverbs 27:3 states: “A stone is heavy and sand is weighty, but a fool’s wrath is heavier than both of them.”

The great lesson is that things we think, say and do produce results that we, and those in our lives, must “carry.”

As humans, we often tend to place more emphasis on immediate results than long-term consequences, many of which must be carried for the rest of our lives. In Matthew 11:30, Jesus Christ said, “My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
