Male or Female
Some people categorize differences as better or worse, weaker or stronger, able or not able, inferior or superior, and so on. When God created Adam and Eve, He declared them both to be “very good” creations (Genesis 1:27, 31). Among men there are weaker and stronger, taller and shorter, fat and lean, handsome and not so handsome—there are differences. That is the same among women.
Estelle Romey said, “The only useful answer to the questions ‘Who is smarter, a man or a woman?’ is ‘Which man and which woman?’” We can discern who is stronger or weaker physically, but not always mentally. We may be able to measure size and strength, but to generalize with a question of who is smarter, more able, or more spiritual is an exercise in foolishness. We must consider what Paul said in 2 Corinthians 10:12. God created mankind, and it was good—let’s not judge each other’s outward appearance.
