The writer of Ecclesiastes stated, "The sleep of a laboring man is sweet." (Ecclesiastes 5:12). He was referring to the sleep that follows good and honest effort of mind and body. Some have experienced "burnout," and that does not bring sweet dreams. Yet solid effort brings results that give us the feeling of accomplishment and success. Proper and sustained use of our bodies and our minds play a huge role in how well we sleep. Being physically and mentally tired when bedtime is at hand is one of the best feelings we can have.
