Giving of themselves for love of their children and giving in marriage to our mate. There is an aspect about being a giver that cannot be seen in material wealth or in what we possess. Some say that you can never receive love until you first give it away. Those words express a concept that Jesus Christ taught. He said it was a blessing to give (Acts 20:35).

The example of Jesus Christ teaches us that true strength is to give and not take, to serve and not rule, to nourish and not devour, to help and not crush. Giving is the expression of love for our fellow man. It exemplifies the character of Christ being developed in a person. These blessings cannot be counted in dollars and cents, but have far greater value than rubies.
