Twisted Tongues
Getting the muscles in our tongue to respond the way we want is not always as easy as it seems. It is said the hardest tongue twister in the English language is: "The sixth sick sheik's sixth sheep's sick." Try it—how did it go? With practice, we can do a little better.
Tongue twisters require control over the muscles of the mouth and a clear mental picture of what we want to say. Tongue control is one of the most difficult tasks for a human being. We often speak first and think later. A new twist would be to think first and then speak. Control over our tongues is the way to "make friends and influence people." It makes life far more pleasant and helps us avoid needless pain and frustration.
