The minister made this thought-provoking statement: "Sinners can’t find God for the same reason a thief can't find a policeman."

It seems the flip side of the coin is also true—if a thief wanted to turn himself in or a sinner wanted to repent, finding a policeman or God wouldn’t be all that hard. God wants everyone to repent (2 Peter 3:9), and our loving God reveals that there is actually great rejoicing in heaven whenever someone does repent (Luke 15:7, 10)!

We should not assume God is hiding from us, but should "seek the LORD while He may be found" (Isaiah 55:6-7).
