World News and Prophecy in Charlotte
Paul Kieffer and I just concluded a very successful World News and Prophecy seminar in Charlotte, North Carolina. 230 United Church of God members and WNP readers spent a day together going through several prophetic topics. Paul and I along with our wives, really enjoyed the opportunity to meet old friends and make new ones throughout the day.
I was struck by the degree of interest in our messages and what we are doing through this site. Many commented howthey keep up with Longitude and subscribe to to the newsletter. Sometimes I wonder how many readers we do have so when readers comment it tells me many are keeping up with us.
It is clear people are watching world events and making the connection to the prophecies that speak of these times. Paul Kieffer’s analysis of Europe and the ten kings was current and brought people’s thinking around to understand how close we could be to seeing certain prophecies take shape. The element of surprise is always present.
Our key thought for the day was Peter’s statement in 2 Peter 3 that we should be people of righteousness and godly conduct because of the understanding prophecy gives us of our times. It is not so much knowledge of the prophetic details we should strive for it is a life dedicated toward the kingdom of God that is the key.
In two weeks we go to Vancouver and Penticton, B.C. for a double header. Can’t wait!
