Finally Opportunity For All

Referred to simply as the “eighth day” with regard to the Feast of Tabernacles in Leviticus 23, this day nonetheless constitutes a separate feast since Tabernacles itself actually comprises only seven days. Continuing on the fall harvest theme of Tabernacles, the Eighth Day expands upon it to events that transpire after the Millennium, when all who have ever lived without being given an opportunity for salvation finally will be given one. This period culminates with a new heaven and new earth—and a New Jerusalem descending onto this planet. What unspeakable joy is bound up in the incredible events this day represents! In conjunction with the selected passages below, it would also be helpful to read “The Eighth Day: Eternal Life Offered to All” from God’s Holy Day Plan: The Promise of Hope for All Mankind.
