The apostle Paul wrote that we ought to seek after whatever things are true, noble, pure, lovely and admirable (Philippians 4:8-9). There seems to be a central spot in our hearts and minds that is like a recording device. As long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer and courage, we are truly "alive."

We live in a world full of bad news, but there is still good news about us. Look for good and lasting beauty. Seek the positive— therein lies contentment and zeal for living.
