Prejudiced Thinking
We say, "He is an American" or "he is German" or "he is uneducated" or "he is black," and often in the back of our minds that has extra meaning. Prejudice poisons our thinking, alters and controls it much more than we would like to admit. Seeds of distrust, suspicion and superstition can easily be planted in our minds.
Take time to think about the categories you have for people and be sure you are not like the Pharisee who thought he was something special while he scorned others (Luke 18:10-14). One way to erase some of these biases is education. Learning about what we’re prejudiced against will help us remove the really hurtful.
