Look Before You Leap
All people make mistakes—if they are alive and active. One of the main causes is misjudgment or a wrong choice because we did not have accurate information. It is important to separate facts from mere information. The ability to separate truth from idle gossip, good from bad, is a result of controlled thinking.
We need to use the separation method. Demand proof where that is possible and exhibit patience instead of accepting things at face value. "Look before you leap," we have often been told. Too often people "leap from the frying pan into the fire" because they did not know what they were doing. Take the time to get the true facts before you make important decisions. Proverbs 18:13 relates some good advice—understand a matter before you act.
